My Journey Online

My name is Wei. I started my earn a living online journey way back in 2009.

From the start, I was determined to find a way to make a living online. I wasn’t looking for quick lunch money. Rather I was looking for business models that would enable me to live a laptop lifestyle.

It hasn’t been easy and it took me years to figure out what I should do. I have tried many things such as online poker, FOREX trading, e-commerce store and other ventures.

Some of these are legitimate business models to earn a living but not exactly what I was looking for. Automation and scalability are the keys that’s missing. None of the methods I tried could make me money while I was asleep. Neither could they grow in size easily.

When I look back to that beginning stage of my online journey, I realize how things would be massively easier if I had a mentor, a place to learn. I had to experiment with whatever I could find on the internet. I was all by myself and had to learn everything from scratch.

It was touch and time consuming. Although Google was amazing in providing answers, there was not a system that I can learn step by step. I had to figure out the road map or re-invent the wheel in many ways.

I kept looking and looking for the right business model for me. It has to meet my five requirements:

Online marketing is so crucial in this day and age for any business. It is in fact the very core. Providing the best product/service is no longer enough to keep your business running. Let’s explore this by the type of business you are probably familiar with:

• Local service provider: Whether you are a plumber, a lawyer, an accountant or a high class escort, you need an online presence.
